The Irish Pastoral Centre was founded in 1987 in response to a large increase in the number of Irish immigrants in the Greater Boston area. The IPC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and is funded in party by the Irish government in addition to donations from the Irish/Irish American Community. 

The IPC is run by dedicated staff and a supporting team of volunteers. The Centre strives to assist Irish Immigrants in varying capacities and facilitate their transition to life in America so that it may be a positive experience for them.
